International Conference on Current Trends in Data Science and Virtualization (ICCTDSV’18) is scheduled on 5th & 6th April 2018 by Department of Computer Science and Engineering of School of Engineering, Vels University, Pallavaram, Chennai. The aim of the conference is to provide an outstanding opportunity for both academic and industrial communities alike, to address the emerging technologies and challenges on topics relevant to today’s frontier areas of Computer Science and Engineering. The explosion of digital data created by mobile sensors, social media, surveillance, medical imaging, smart grids and the like—combined with new tools for analyzing it all—has brought us a Big Data era. Data Science can be generally regarded as an interdisciplinary field of using mathematics, statistics, databases, data mining, high-performance computing, knowledge management and virtualization to discover knowledge from data. The conference will feature Invited Talks, Poster Presentation and Paper Presentations. The vision of ICCTDSV’18 is to foster communication among Researchers and Practitioners working on varied areas of Data Science and Virtualization Prospective authors are invited to submit full and original research papers which have not been submitted / published / under consideration elsewhere.

Marina Beach is a natural urban beach in the city of Chennai, India, along the Bay of Bengal, part of the Indian Ocean. Arignar Anna Zoological Park (abbreviated AAZP), also known as the Vandalur Zoo, is a zoological garden located in Vandalur, a suburb in the southwestern part of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, about 31 kilometres (19 mi) from the city centre and 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from Chennai Airport. It previous location was set up in 1855 and was the first public zoo in India.
Covelong (Kovalam) is a fishing village in Chennai, India, 40 kilometres south of Chennai, on the East Coast Road en route to Mahabalipuram. Covelong was a port town developed by the Nawab of Carnatic, Saadat Ali. It was taken over by the French in 1746, and destroyed by the British in 1752. The Dutch built a fort in Covelong during the colonial times, which today has been made the Taj Fisherman's Cove, a private luxury beach resort.
Fort St. George (or historically, White Town) is the name of the first English (later British) fortress in India, founded in 1644 at the coastal city of Madras, the modern city of Chennai. The construction of the fort provided the impetus for further settlements and trading activity, in what was originally an uninhabited land. Thus, it is a feasible contention to say that the city evolved around the fortress.
Mamallapuram, also known as Mahabalipuram, is a town in Kancheepuram district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is around 60 km south from the city of Chennai. It is an ancient historic town and was a bustling seaport during the time of Periplus (1st century CE) and Ptolemy (140 CE). Ancient Indian traders who went to countries of South East Asia sailed from the seaport of Mahabalipuram.
By the 7th century it was a port city of South Indian dynasty of the Pallavas. It has a group of sanctuaries, which was carved out of rock along the Coromandel coast in the 7th and 8th centuries : rathas (temples in the form of chariots),mandapas (cave sanctuaries), giant open-air rock reliefs such as the famous Descent of the Ganges, and the Shore Temple, with thousands of sculptures to the glory of Shiva. The Group of Monuments at Mahabalipuram has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
It has an average elevation of 12 metres (39 feet). The modern city of Mahabalipuram was established by the British Raj in 1827.
St Thomas, one of the twelve disciples of Jesus, arrived in Southern India - Tamilakam - in the present day Indian state of Tamil Nadu from Judea in 52 A.D. and preached between 52 A.D. and 72 A.D., when he was martyred on St. Thomas Mount. San Thome Basilica is the principal church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Madras and Mylapore.
