The Symposium will feature 11 events namely Paper presentation , CADD Modeling , Project presentation , RC Race , MECH Quiz ,Water Rocketry , Treasure Hunt , Machinist , Gully Cricket , Gaming , Online Photography.

    General Terms:

    Solo Match
    The event co-ordinators reserves the right to cancel or modify the tournament rules if technical failures or any other factor beyond reasonable control, impairs the integrity of the tournament.

    Cheating and Rule Violation:

    1. The co-cordinators has the right to disqualify and dismiss any registered player from the tournament, at their discretion, at any stage of the tournament, for any reason,with no prior warning to the player.
    2. Any protests or disagreements with event rulings must be made directly to the Organizer in a reasonable manner at the time of the incident, at which time a prompt decision will be made. The co-ordinators decisions are finals decisions are final.
    3. Any competitor or team attempting to use any exploit in a map shall be immediately disqualified and may be removed from the event.

    Event Format:

    Participants knowledge in various fields of mechanical engineering will be tested through a series of rounds.

    Prelims:

    The preliminary written test will be conducted based on the registration count.

    Final:

    Teams clearing prelims will qualify for the finals.

    Rules:

    1. Only two members are allowed per team.
    2. Participants from different colleges can form a team.
    3. The quizmaster’s decision is final.
    4. Arguments over final decisions is not permitted.
    5. Using mobile phones are not allowed.

    Round 1:

    • Written test.
    • 25 objectives.
    • 30 minutes.

    Round 2:

    • Question are shown in slide.
    • 30 seconds per slide(question).
    • 5 points per question.

    Round 3:

    • 30 seconds per slide (question).
    • 10 points per question.
    • 5 negavtive points per wrong answers..

    Event Format:

    The participant must machine the given job as per the given specifications within the time limit.

    Prelims:

    The preliminary written test on the basics of manufacturing and workshop technology will be conducted based on the registration count.

    Final:

    The participant should machine the component as per given the specifications using a Lathe.

    Rules:

    1. This is a solo event, Single participant should participate.
    2. All the tools required for machining will be provided.
    3. All the Participants will be given individual lathes.
    4. The finished Product will be evaluated based on the Accuracy in Dimension, Surface finish, and Process time.
    5. The time for machining will be given on spot.
    6. Judges decision will be final.

    Water Rocketry

    Water Rocketry

    Event Format:

    Participants should bring their self-designed Water Rockets and the performance of the rockets will be tested.

    Prelims:

    Top rockets will be selected for finals based on maximum distance covered.

    Final:

    1. Rockets can be launched 2times and the maximum distance covered will be taken for consideration.
    2. Rockets will also be evaluated based on stability, angle of deviation and damage incurred during landing

    Rules:

    1. Maximum 3 members per team.
    2. Event will be conducted only one round.
    3. Trail launches will not be given.
    4. Maximum pressure 25-30psi.
    5. No materials will be provided for the construction of the rocket.
    6. Pump and launching system will be provided.
    7. Capacity of the bottle must be 2 liters only.

    1. Duration - 30min.
    2. Clues will be given to reach destination.
    3. Extra clues will be given only after a dare.
    4. Team should not split up.
    5. Players should complete the hunt handing over the 7 clues to organizers.
    6. The prize should be given for winner and runner.

    The participants should solve and draw the given problem using the softwares provided.

    1. This is a solo event, Single participant should participate.
    2. Problem statement will be given at the time of the event.
    3. Design is to be completed within the given time duration.
    4. Time taken to complete and the number of features added will be taken into account.
    5. Decision of judges will be the final.

    Round 1: Online paper submission:

    1. ID card is compulsory.
    2. The participants are required to submit a full paper. All papers must be submitted electronically at (combustedt2k18@gmail.com).
    3. Spot entries are not allowed.
    4. Notification of acceptance will be send throgh their respective e-mail id.
    5. The topic of the paper submitted can pertain to one of the topics declared.
    6. Maximum three (from same or different institution) form a team and allowed to participate the event.
    7. Participants should bring abstract not exceeding 300words.
    8. The paper should begin with an abstract. The full paper should be submitted as a MS Word document (.doc or .docx format only) with Times New Roman font (size 12) and single spacing
    9. Details of all the team members: names, department, college, e-mail ID, and mobile no. should be sent along with the paper.
    10. The selection in the first round will be based on the paper submitted onlineDeadline for full paper submission is 16th September 2018.

    Round 2: Presentation during COMBusted 2018

    1. The main event will be an on-stage event.
    2. The teams shortlisted after round 1 will be required to present the paper
    3. The decision of the judges would be final and binding.

    Robo Race

    Robo Race

    Rules and Regulation:

    1. The teams should not consist of more than four members
    2. Each member from same college is not mandatory
    3. The robot should follow the robot specification provided. Any deviation from the mentioned specification will lead to disqualification
    4. Once the race begins three hand touches are allowed, if your taking hand touch you have to start from last check point
    5. No test practice will be allowed on the main arena
    6. AC junction boxes will be provided by the coordinators
    7. The arena may subject to change before the commencement of any round
    8. If the robot crosses a check point, and moves of track, then the robot would be place back on the previous check point crossed
    9. The decision of the judges will be final and abiding. Argument with judge in any form will lead to the disqualification of the team

    Robo Specification

    1. Lego kits are strictly not allowed in any form
    2. The L X B X H should not exceed 25 X 25 X 25
    3. The net weight should not exceed 3Kgs
    4. However a tolerance of 5% is acceptable
    5. Power source should be on board (i.e., on the robot body placed in the arena)
    6. Wired robots are allowed
    7. The length of the wire should be long enough to cover the whole track and the wire should remain slack during the complete run
    8. The maximum allowed voltage to power the robot is 24V
